Mini Apps
The short version. These apps do their work on your device. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking software of any kind. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you deliberately send it — by emailing us a suggestion, or by using the share sheet yourself.
This policy covers the following iOS apps, referred to here as “the apps”:
Everything the apps remember is written to their own private storage area on your device — the sandbox iOS gives each app. We cannot read it, and neither can other apps.
| App | What it keeps on your device |
|---|---|
| SpeedFeed | Your last inputs, tool notes and unit preference |
| Cut List Optimizer | Saved cutting plans: part sizes, sheet sizes and project names |
| Poker Odds | Calculation history: the cards you entered and the resulting odds |
| DAF Fluency Loop | Practice settings and a log of session dates and durations |
| Gift Tracker | The names, budgets, gift ideas and notes you type in |
| Tire Size Calculator | Saved tyre comparisons and unit preference |
| All apps | Small preferences such as chosen units, and whether you have seen the introduction |
If you have iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup switched on, iOS may include this data in that backup. That is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
DAF Fluency Loop asks for microphone access because delayed auditory feedback requires it: the app plays your own voice back to your headphones after a short delay. That audio is processed live, in memory, on your device. It is never written to a file, never recorded, and never transmitted. When you stop a session, the audio is gone. The app keeps only the date and length of the session, so you can see your practice history.
The other apps do not request microphone access.
Only when you make it happen, in one of two ways.
Each app has a “Suggest a feature” option. If you use it and choose to send the message, the following is placed into an email — which you can read and edit before sending, and which you can cancel:
The last two are there so that a bug report is actionable. We use what you send solely to answer you and to fix or improve the app. We do not sell it, and we do not add it to any mailing list. We keep support correspondence for as long as it takes to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards to recognise repeat reports, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner — see Support.
Several apps let you share a result — a cutting diagram, a set of odds, a gift list summary. When you tap share, iOS shows you the standard share sheet and you pick the destination: Messages, Mail, Notes, saving an image, and so on. That content goes wherever you send it. It does not come to us, and it is governed by whatever service you chose.
Where an app offers a paid unlock, the purchase is handled entirely by the App Store. We never see your name, your payment card, or your billing address — Apple tells the app only whether the purchase is currently valid. Restoring a purchase asks Apple the same question again. Refunds are handled by Apple, and a refunded purchase removes the unlock automatically.
Because the data is local, you are in control of it:
The apps are general-purpose tools. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age — there is no mechanism in the apps by which we could.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another region with data-protection law, those laws give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability. For data held on your device, you can exercise all of them directly, without asking us — you have the only copy. For support email you have sent us, write to us and we will provide a copy or delete it. The lawful basis for handling support email is our legitimate interest in answering your question, and it is entirely voluntary.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the current version is always at this address. Meaningful changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
Questions about privacy, or a deletion request: see the Support page for how to reach us.
